Those narration boxes contain some of the best written material I’ve ever read from Morrison and the way he deals with Darkseid’s demise is so clever. The issue’s narrated by Death and each of the heroes have to deal with death in their own way which is powerful stuff on any level of art. The penultimate issue of the Rock of Ages storyline features one of the best appearances of Batman but it also highlights side characters like Ray Palmer (The Atom) and Connor Hawk, son of Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow. Green Lantern, Aqua Man and The Flash have absolutely nothing to do in this issue… JLA: Rock of Ages # 14 by Grant Morrison and Howard Porter.
